Frequently Asked Questions
Coaching is a partnership that helps you establish and then achieve tangible goals in particular areas of your life where you may feel stuck or are simply looking to achieve something more.
At its core, coaching is based on the fundamental assumption that every person is inherently resourceful and creative; honoring you as the expert of your life. The goal of the coaching process is to deepen your learning and enhance your quality of life.
Coaching is NOT a replacement for therapy or counseling. It is not consulting or mentoring. It is not ‘advice-lending’ or ‘hand-holding’ accountability, or a ‘friend for hire’. Coaching can run concurrently with therapy or counseling, but it is not a substitute for the treatment of mental illness, recovery from past abuse, professional medical advice, financial assistance, legal counsel, or other professional services.
Coaching is a confidential relationship. As your coach I agree to keep all information strictly confidential, except in those situations in which such confidentiality would violate the law or could jeopardize your safety or others.
A key ingredient of an impactful coaching relationship is trust. The more present and open you can be, the deeper we can go, and the more self-awareness you will gain. Building trust is a process that will evolve over the coaching relationship.
As your coach, I believe that you are creative and resourceful. I will empower you on the journey of self-discovery and mindset shifts to help you create new opportunities and gain the courage to seek and pursue a new future vision. My coaching will center on you, help you gain clarity, and draw solutions and strategies, resulting in better outcomes that align with what you want to achieve.
We’ll start our relationship with an opportunity to get to know each other and discuss what you want to get out of the coaching relationship. From there, I will partner with you as you define what success looks like for you as you move forward on your journey to unlocking your new chapter.
As your coach, I believe that you are guided by your own values and beliefs. I respect differing values and beliefs and I will not impose by beliefs or values on you. Nor will I try to convert your beliefs, condemn, or refuse to coach you because you do not share similar beliefs and values. You beliefs and values make you uniquely you, and I welcome the opportunity to work with you.
Every session begins with your agenda and your goals that guide our time together. I believe that you are creative, resourceful, and the expert of your life. Therefore, you know best what matters to you, and what helps you to move forward. Every session is designed to leave you with new awareness, learnings, and clear actionable steps for you to take toward your goal.
My role is to empower you on your journey of self-discovery, help you pinpoint areas for growth, challenge you with questions that unlock new opportunities, and help you gain the courage to seek and pursue a new future vision.
In our discovery call, we’ll take the time to get to know each other, reflect on where you are currently, and clearly define what you want to walk away with from our time together.
Sessions are typically about 45-60 minutes
No, as a matter of fact, I do all of my sessions by phone or video calls.
